MCAT Mastery

Shock Your Score Back to Life with Top-Percentile Physician Tutoring

The Doctor Difference

Four easy phases to unlocking your 515+

  • With patients, doctors take their history to learn more about the underlying disease process and come to a diagnosis. At (Pre)Meducated, the first step is to take your study history. We learn what you’ve done, what resources you’ve used, what worked and didn’t work, your strengths and weaknesses, testing timeline, and goals. Once we’ve seen the full picture, we write you a study prescription unique to your circumstances.

  • Depending on the results from phase 0’s diagnostics, we typically jump right into content review and comprehension. Truly understanding a topic helps you remember it better for discrete questions AND apply it more effectively to passage-based questions. Becoming proficient at MCAT questions requires a firm base of knowledge. If you stick to the plan and put in the work, you should expect to see your practice scores increase in just a couple of weeks.

  • Now, you’ll continue with some content review, but ease off of the gas pedal. Content review alone will NOT get you into the 90th+ percentile. The point of the MCAT is to get you to start thinking like a doctor: using what you know to bridge the logical gaps. This phase of our program is absolutely critical for MCAT mastery. Training your critical thinking and test taking skills reduces the amount of content that you need to have memorized. Phase 2 is meant to rewire the way you interpret questions by augmenting your critical thinking and scientific literacy. The score increases you see as we transition from phase 1 to phase 2 may be exponential. This is where 90th+ percentile scorers are made and med school dreams are realized.

  • After hard work mastering content and applying that knowledge to practice questions, it’s time to put the icing on the cake. The third and final phase of MCAT Mastery Tutoring is perfecting your standardized test-taking skills. We will teach you the skills you need to optimize your testing experience to push your score even further than you could have imagine

M-CAN’T

The Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) often determines the fate of pre-med students' medical careers. This 7.5-hour, 230-question behemoth assesses the most challenging undergraduate science subjects in dense passage-based question format. Encompassing biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, psychology, and sociology, and a ubiquitously difficult critical analysis and reasoning skills section, the MCAT can seem impossible.
With med school acceptance rates less than 50%, the odds are stacked against you. Arguably the most important factor in any application is the MCAT score. Tackling this pivotal exam without a solid plan risks your entire medical future. Without a structured study approach, candidates may find themselves retaking the MCAT multiple times due to poor scores, diminishing their chances of acceptance with each attempt.

M-CAN

The medical school information fire hydrant is painfully real. To make it through, you have two choices:

1) Rote memorization

2) Comprehension

Understanding a topic means you don’t have to memorize it. It just makes sense. Comprehension is true mastery. At (Pre)Meducated, we believe in applying the same philosophy to MCAT preparation. We strike a balance between content review comprehension and honing practice question competency tailored to each student's testing timeline. By fostering a deep understanding alongside essential test-taking skills, we aim to equip students with the tools necessary to excel in their medical journey.
